Swiss Housing Projects by Felix Partner
Interdisciplinary approaches in architecture – development, financing, marketing, design
With essays by Kenneth Frampton, Thomas Held and Ulrike Gölker Zeugin
Felix Partner take the view that architecture and business – from the first idea to marketing a project – should go hand in hand. Therefore the book is not a typical monograph. By presenting built and unbuilt projects from recent years it illustrates the approach that architecture should be concerned with all stages of the value chain of a building project. This includes assessment of a property and conceptualization, the financing by means of a specially founded investment trust as well as the planning and execution including marketing and interior design. The established architecture firm strikes a new path by covering all these areas and is always process-driven in its approach.
Portraits of inhabitants and clients add a personal touch and complement the overall picture.
